IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa track and field capped the weekend with another school record at the Jimmy Grant Invitational on Saturday night at the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility. Returning All-American Daniela Wamokpego tallied a 13.32-meter mark in the triple jump, updating Iowa’s program record and tying the national lead.
IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa track and field opened its 2024-25 campaign with throwing events on day one of the Jimmy Grant Alumni Invitational inside the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex on Friday afternoon. Junior Sean Smith set a new school record in the men’s weight throw, hitting 22.49 meters on his final throw.
The Hawkeyes kick off the 2024 indoor season, hosting the annual Jimmy Grant Alumni Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Weight throw and shot put will take place on Friday, starting at 11:00 a.m. inside the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex and Saturday's action will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility.
