IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s gymnastics team is ranked 29th in the preseason Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association poll, it was announced Tuesday. The Hawkeyes received 531 points.
The GymHawks are one of 10 Big Ten Conference teams in the rankings along with UCLA (10), Michigan State (11), Michigan (13), Ohio State (16), Minnesota (18), Penn State (21), Illinois (22), Nebraska (23), Maryland (24) and Washington (26).
Iowa, who climbed as high as No. 18 in the 2024 rankings, returns 15 letterwinners, including two All-Big Ten selections in Ilka Juk and Karina Muñoz. Two-time All-American Adeline Kenlin returns for the 2025 season after her senior year was cut short due to injury.
The Hawkeyes also added four freshmen to the roster, including 2024 Olympians Cassie Lee and Aurélie Tran.
Season tickets for the 2025 gymnastics season are on sale through the UI Athletics ticket office. Season tickets for adults are $40 and $10 for youth. Tickets are available over the phone at 800-IA-HAWKS and online at hawkeyesports.com/tickets.
Iowa opens the 2025 season on Jan. 10 at Iowa State in a tri-meet with the Cyclones and Brown. The Hawkeyes host their home opener on Jan. 26 against Minnesota at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
